“You’re been wonderful and amazing. I’ve kept our
discussions at the top of my mind and think about (our coaching) all
the time. What changed me and my interactions with my management team
was your constant guidance and reminders on how to stay the course.
I now feel armed for the next set of challenges.”
- Coaching client Tiffany Borodkin, Manager, Account
Retention Unit, PacifiCare
“I respect your opinion and I like the feedback you give
to me. This coaching has been the single most important thing
I’ve gone through (since transitioning from engineer to
manager).”
- Brian Nakasone, Engineering Technical
Manager
“As a result of the coaching, I am already seeing that
my team management techniques have improved and I am getting
positive feedback. The most positive aspect was the ability to
voice my concerns and areas of improvement to get an objective
assessment. Throughout the session, I was prompted for solutions
to the issues I’ve raised – this is more gratifying
than having the solution given to me.”
- Connie Chiu, Cisco
“Excellent facilitator …”
“It was a great meeting …”
“My move to this department was to enhance my career,
and today demonstrates that I’m headed in the right direction.”
- Participants in Team Building workshop
with Underwriting department at Camico
“Great information; very informative. Great use of humor
and keeping it “light” at times.”
- Diane Foster, CEO, Diane Foster and Associates

What is coaching?
Coaching …
- is results-oriented.
- helps clients set better goals and then reach those goals through tools, support and structure.
- focuses clients better to more quickly produce results.
- is learning through action.
- is a form of consulting, but the coach stays with the client to implement the new skills, changes and goals to make sure they really happen.
- is distinct from therapy in that it is future-oriented vs. past-oriented.
- is focused on the client doing the work, with the coach as support.
- involves direct feedback to the client.
Our standard coaching package:
- Intake — two hours, in person if possible. Includes MBTI and values assessment.
- Two hours of coaching per month; can be 2 x 1-hour sessions or 1 x 2-hour session.
- Includes phone and e-mail support.
- If possible, have at least first two sessions in person; then switch to phone.
- Three months minimum. Six months is more beneficial.
- Can customize if necessary, including comprehensive 360 degree evaluations.

How to Succeed in Business … without being a Man
Based on our years of coaching women, we have learned specific ways that women increase their success in business. These include techniques to communicate more effectively, negotiate better, network and support other women.
Women: Find your Corporate Voice
Being “heard” in male-dominated situations, such as Corporate America is still a big issue for women and contributes to the fact that women are still underrepresented in positions of power. Challenges range from being uncomfortable speaking in large groups, realizing that your ideas are not being taken as seriously as men’s to recognizing the need to support other women in their communication skills. Learn specific strategies on how to increase your communication effectiveness in this highly interactive workshop.
Increasing Your Leadership Presence
In order to succeed in business, one needs more than intellect and a strong work ethic. The ability to sell one’s ideas and be promoted depends on leadership presence. Women typically have a more difficult time establishing leadership presence in large organizations because the corporate norm is based on having a male-dominated leadership majority. Learn how to improve your leadership presence and gain credibility.
Focusing on Strengths
Research shows that leaders are more effective when they focus on their strengths versus continually trying to shore up their weaknesses. In spite of this, Corporate America tends to focus on “needs for improvements”. Women in particular have greater challenges with this, as shown by psychological studies. Learn specific ways to first learn what your strengths are and then start focusing on them.
Become a Networking Queen
One reason cited in studies of women’s under representation in corporate America is a lack of informal networking. Find out how networking can enhance your career, regardless of what stage you are in. You will learn ways to increase your networking capabilities, whether you have considerable obstacles to networking or already are a skilled networker.
